OLLIE // A Comfort Companion for Children in Frequent Hospital Care
Ollie is designed to help children between the ages of 3-8 to self cope, by providing opportunities for familiarity, understanding, control, calming, self expression and pride.
Ollie's features include: a glowing light that pulses at a calming rate, ribbons to mark significant events, animal hoods for imaginative play, a pocket for storing special objects, thermochromic ink that changes colour with heat.
Ollie is the result of my year long graduation project, and was created with help from families of children in hospital care and Child Life Specialists at BC Children’s Hospital
